Why Kids Yoga???
Whether you like it or not as an adult, we all know movement is key to longevity. Moving the body is the best thing you can do for it! Why is it that so many people have come to despise movement or look at it as a chore?! Was it your high school gym class that was less than pleasant? Was it because it challenged you at one point or another beyond your comfortability? Well… I am here to tell you if you want to enjoy living in the vessel we call the human body… you must move it! That is where yoga comes in! It is not just for skinny, fit people that are flexible! Quite the contrary it is for EVERY-Body!
Now rant over… if we can teach kids between the ages of 0-8 years old when their conditioning is being created in their sweet little brains that movement or “exercise” is FUN and FEELS GOOD in their body and CALMS or REGULATES their nervous system… we might be able to save them a lot of time and energy in reprogramming their adult brain to understand the importance of movement.
So Kids Yoga is waaayyyy more than the simple act of doing yoga, it is laying foundation and neuropathways in the brain of these children that will last a literal lifetime.
